Advanced Specialist Training: Your Path to Column C Mastery
A Warm Welcome to Advanced Practice
If you are a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist (Level 5 or 6) ready to deepen your commitment to the profession, this is the training you’ve been looking for. I recognise the ethical and professional imperative to move beyond general competency toward the sophisticated, specialised skills required for the Column C standard.
I have put together a series of intensive, postgraduate-level programmes designed to meet that need directly. We move past basic skill refreshment, focusing on the rigorous Level 7 standard of critical analysis, complex case formulation, and advanced skill mastery essential for relational depth.
Why This Training Now? Meeting the Column C Standard
The Column C standard requires practitioners to demonstrate an ability to evaluate, integrate, and apply complex theoretical models while working effectively with challenging, complex, and enduring presentations.
- Bridging the Gap:This training offers an accessible route to demonstrating these Level 7 competencies—a path historically reserved only for multi-year postgraduate degrees.
- The Commitment to Complexity:Our programmes provide the theoretical depth and ethical rigor necessary to confidently work with the most complex cases, transforming your practice and strengthening your professional identity.
Future-Proof Your Practice with Advanced Specialisms
We are developing three streams of intensive training, each focusing on the areas that require the highest level of clinical maturity and specialization you can choose between 3 Post-Qualifying Advanced Diplomas in:
1. Relational-Developmental Clinical Supervision
This training is dedicated to moving beyond competency models to a truly sophisticated, integrated, and relational supervisory practice. Develop the advanced skills needed to hold complex supervisory relationships and prepare yourself for the supervisor register.
2. Working with Complex Trauma
This is essential training for today's practitioner. We move beyond stabilization into advanced processing and integration models, mastering the skills necessary for deep, effective trauma work, incorporating neurobiological and relational perspectives.
3. Integrative Couples Therapy
Gain the confidence to tackle complex relational dynamics. This course provides the comprehensive foundational theories (Developmental, TA, and Attachment) needed to successfully assess, formulate, and intervene in complex couples work.
Your Assurance of Quality
These programs are built on genuine academic rigor and a deep belief in the power of ethical relational practice.
Your Trainer: These trainings are developed and delivered by Sam Gallo, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist (Column C), an RS/RST Supervisor, Couple and Group Therapist and Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer at a UK university.
With over a decade of clinical mastery and extensive experience running, writing, and developing university and professional body validated courses, the design ensures your investment will truly support your move toward Column C competency.
